Shaikh Essam Tawfik was born in Cairo Egypt in 1967 and has
undertaken studies of the Quran at a very early age. He began his
formal Islamic studies in 1989. He had the opportunity to study
with some of the great ulemah in Egypt and has dedicated a
significant time to teaching Islam to both Muslims and non
Muslims. He has travelled and lectured in many countries, and
has played a very important role in spreading the awareness of the
Shariah Academy of America. He has been an active khateeb
and lecturer at many MSA's in USA, as well as an occasional
volunteer khateeb in Madinah, Spain, UAE and a khateeb under
the endowment in Egypt and Mauritania.
