Salam Alaykom Jibreel and everyone..my name is Hiba and i am a muslim girl … i love Islam soooo much and I am so so so proud to be a muslim Alhamdulellah (thank God).. well,,it really upsets me to hear the name of Islam associated with such a brutal action that misleads people’s conceptions about Islam and muslims.. first of all everyone should know that Islam has nothing to do with what they call “Honor killing” ! And just like Jibreel said if you searched through “ Al Quraan” and Sunnah you will never ever find anything that talks about it!! It’s non sense to associate islam with such a murder!! ..whoever will search will waste his time.. but I really want you to do so!! Search as much as you can And we’ll see… !!
you know Jibreel.. you just made such an interesting point and I do agree with you 100 percent When you said that Christians in the Arab world would bloodshed their own sons and daughters if they converted to islam or married from muslims!!! i lived around christians and I know this fact really well!!! They are so strict Christians here !! ..but nobody ever raised this issue or made a documentary or even wrote about it in any news paper or magazine!!!
whenever I turn the news I hear the name Islam in almost in every headline that has to deal with killing, bombing, shooting…etc !! although Islam is the religion of mercy and peace!!!
I have recently read something and I want to share what I read with you..i’ll quote here:
“Ask yourself why...
a Jew who grows his beard to practice his faith is considered religious,
but when a Muslim does the same, he is considered an extremist?
a Nun who covers to devote herself to God is considered pious,
but when a Muslim girl does the same, she is considered oppressed?
Why is it when..a Muslim commits any crime he is labeled as a terrorist! but when a non-Muslim commits a similar crime he is labeled as a criminal or an Anti-abortion extremist?
...a Muslim commits a crime his religion is the center of news, but when a non-Muslim commits a crime his religion is not even mentioned? “..)
so people tell me why!!!??? Why??? Just think a little bit!! Dont buy whatever the media sells you!! Use your brain that God created it for this purpose!!!! Just Think!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t get caught up with the hype!!!
May Allah guide us all to the right way..and forgive our sins and bestow his mercy upon us..
